Learn about our Classes
You'll receive instruction on your volleyball mechanics, team aspects and strategy and specific feedback on ways you can improve as a player and teammate. All classes are limited to 15 participants (20 for beginners). Most have two or more instructors to ensure you effective feedback to accelerate your learning process.

Hermosa Volleyball Academy isn’t just for adults! The youth class is specially designed for ages 10-15, where students can learn and improve their Beach Volleyball skills. Participants are paired with other youths with similar skill levels. These class sessions are synced with the adult classes, so the whole family can come down together.
The focus is on enjoying the beach with fundamental sand footwork, court coverage and ball contact skills. The first 60-70 mins of class students are grouped into skill level or paired with their friends. Key elements of skills are briefly explained and the groups then practice these with intermittent feedback. The last 20-30 mins of class are "free play" style games with occasional feedback. Some aspects of play are customized based upon participant skill level (i.e. moving server closer to net or shrinking court size to prolong rallies).
-
Learn Beach Volleyball sequentially focusing on efficient footwork, correct body position while executing contacts, ideal ball contact points, and proper mechanics of a fluid effective serve, shoot and spike arm swing. Meet new friends with similar skill levels in an open and fun environment.
